The free-to-play fishing game has received a new update after 6 years. The Bait Multiplayer Mode has been added! You can now fish and chill with other players.
The Bait Multiplayer Mode update—better known as “Fishin’ Buddies” adds two forms of multiplayer:
You can visit Penguin Point with up to three other anglers. Here, you can either have some casual fun fishing, or even competitive tournaments!
You can also hang out with up to 11 other players in Casters’ Cove, and engage in social activities, such as:
- RC Boat Racing
- Skipping Stones
- Paddling Around in Inflatable Floaties
- And more.
This is an amazing way to breathe new life into the long-running VR game. It’s still, also, one of the few fishing VR games available.
If you’re looking to jump back into Bait! with this new update—you should check out the new official Discord server. You’ll meet plenty of other like-minded fishers there!
Looking to download the game? Head over to the Oculus Store. Bait! is free-to-play, with plenty of fish to catch, and locales to explore.
Wondering what other virtual reality games and updates are on the horizon? There’s a Peaky Blinders VR game in development, releasing early next year.
