Become a star in the new Astral Eclipse Event in Pokémon GO! It’ll bring new Cosmic-themed Pokémon to the game, and Shiny Encounters!
Cosmoem is the other star of the event (along with the trainers). The Pokemon can be evolved using 100 Cosmog Candy to either Solgaleo or Lunala.
This event continues on the “Cosmic Companion” questline from earlier this year, which rewarded Players with a Cosmog.
It’ll be updated with new tasks, which reward players with Cosmog Candy. With those, you can evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem, and then into one of the two new legendaries.
Solgaleo and Lunala first made their appearance in Pokémon Sun and Moon. The event starts November 23rd (10AM Local Time), and ends November 28th (8PM Local Time).
Along with the debut of the Sun and Moon Legendaries, the Astral Eclipse Event will bring some other changes! There’ll be new Raid Pokémon, along with new Wild Encounters!
Now is an excellent chance for people looking for any of the listed above Shinies. This Event will lead into the later planned, Ultra Beast Arrival: Global Event.
Ultra Beasts were also first released in the Pokémon Sun and Moon games as well. There are plenty of upcoming events to celebrate, recently—Niantic announced the dates for the near-future Community Days.
