Apple Music brings Lossless Streaming and Spatial Audio to Android

Apple Music on Android

At WWDC last month, Apple revealed a new update for Apple Music subscribers that included lossless streaming and spatial audio.

This update debuted on iOS, iPads and macOS over a month ago. Now the features are finally being made available to Android users!

With that being said, there does seem to be a few limitations. For the Apple Music spatial audio feature, your phone will need to support Dolby Atmos.

Aside from that, just like on Apple devices – spatial audio will work with any pair of headphones.

When it comes to lossless streaming, Apple warns Android users (as it does on their own devices) that it will consume significantly more data.

This update is huge news for any audiophiles on Android, as well as people interested in spatial audio.

You can download Apple Music on your Android device over on the Google Play Store. The app has over 50 million downloads on Android with a 3.7 rating.
